TORONTO - BREAKER TECHNOLOGY INC. (BTI) has introduced what it says is the greatest advance in hardrock scaling in the last 40 years, the QS45 vibratory pick scaler. According to the company, the QS45 can work as either a standard pick or the integrated hammer can be engaged when the going gets tough to double productivity. And it needs half the maintenance of a standard scaler.

The extreme duty carrier features a telescopic boom with a 45-ft reach thanks to twin 6-inch diameter lift cylinders. It can rotate 330 and develops 40,000 lb of peak force at the pick tip.

For complete specifications on the newest member of BTI's breaker family call William Aldridge, mining manager, at 708-205-6060 or e-mail him at baldridge@rockbreaker.com.
