GOLD PRODUCTION - Uzboy heap leach reaches commercial benchmark

KAZAKHSTAN - ALHAMBRA RESOURCES of Calgary has declared that its wholly owned Uzboy gold mine and heap leach is now operating at commercial rates. The company expects to produce 25,000 oz of gold in 2006.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2006, Alhambra sold 3,808 oz of gold earning $2.4 million. The company placed another 73,000 tonnes on the heap, bringing the total amount of material under leach to 850,000 tonnes averaging 1.66 g/t Au.
