ONTARIO - Noront Resources of Toronto has tripled the size of the resources at its Eagle's Nest deposit located at its McFauld's Lake property in the James Bay Lowlands (Ring of Fire). Indicated resources are now 6.9 million tonnes grading 2.04% Ni, 0.95% Cu, 1.3 g/t Pt and 3.4 g/t Pd. The inferred resources are 4.3 million tonnes grading 1.42% Ni, 0.87% Cu, 0.8 g/t Pt and 3.4 g/t Pd.

During the 2009 exploration program, Noront drilled 26,040 metres at Eagle's Nest, tracing it to a depth of more than 1,200 metres, and it is open down dip below that. The deposit might be mined using underground bulk methods.

Golder Associates is completing a 43-101 report which will be filed with SEDAR and made available at www.NorontResources.com within a few weeks.
