QUEBEC - Lake Shore Gold of Toronto received results from eight holes that confirm and expand the mineralization in the G zone at Casa Berardi East. Lake Shore has an option to earn a 50% interest in the claims from Aurizon Mines, which operates the Casa Berardi mines and mill 7 km away.

Early indications are that the G zone has a minimum strike length of 600 metres and depth potential of 300 metres from surface, according to Lake Shore. Near the west edge of the G zone drilling has extended the mineralization 120 metres down dip from previous holes. Assays of 11.54 g/t Au over 3.89 metres, 4.75 g/t over 1.00 metres, and 3.10 g/t over 1.00 metre were received. Holes testing the eastern limit of G zone intersected 40.20 g/t Au over 0.42 metre, 8.41 g/t over 1.40 metres, 6.74 g/t over 1.28 metres and 5.81 g/t over 1.57 metres.

Lake Shore will now develop new drill programs to follow up on these results as well as new discoveries made on the west block in the fall of 2009. The next program will start in late October.
