QUEBEC — Montreal-based Exploration Orbite has filed a 43-101 technical report including the results of its geological surveys of the alumina clay deposit located at Grande-Vallée near Murdochville.

Efforts were concentrated on the Marin sector, which is the better known and explored sector of three on the claims. During the 2008 campaign, the company cut 5.7 km of lines, dug 64 exploration wells and drilled 1,791 meters in 14 holes. The work resulted in the determination of the presence of 103.0 million tonnes of aluminous clay, having an average content of 24.6% Al2O3 for the Marin sector. This figure was used for a projected pit design under limiting constraints of minimum mudstone and sterile deposits.

Orbite hopes to mine a specialty alumina product for markets other than aluminum production. Learn more at www.ExplorationOrbite.com.
