NEWFOUNDLAND Toronto-based VVC EXPLORATION has completed the initial drill program on the Beaverbrook antimony project near Gander. The program totalled 13,000 metres, and assay results support the continuity of mineralization within the Upper Main and Lower Main zones. Sever new zones of footwall mineralization were also drilled.
VVC released assays from 23 new holes, in addition to results from 12 holes released last May. The best intersection in the Lower Main zone was 15.95% Sb over 1 metre, although assays of 4-5% were more typical. The Upper Main returned assays of 7.76% Sb over 4.26 meters, 2.75% over 7 metres and 5.47% over 14.22 metres, among others.
