TORONTO - Barrick Gold has won the award for best practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the 2012 IR Magazine Canada Awards, held Feb. 1. The IR Magazine Awards are the leading international awards honoring excellence and leadership in investor relations.

"This is a great acknowledgment of the excellent work that we are doing around the world which is also beautifully communicated in publications like Beyond Borders," said Barrick CEO Aaron Regent. "It demonstrates that we are making progress, however, we all recognize that we still have much to do but that we should tackle the challenges in front of us with increased confidence."
