MONTREAL – Commerce Resources Corp. of Vancouver is this year’s winner of the e3 Plus Award presented at the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (AEMQ) annual meeting this week.

The e3 Plus Award recognizes the exploration company that best personifies responsible exploration as envisioned by the e3 Plus framework, developed by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, and is highlighted by a high level of environmental and social responsibility, as well as adherence to industry best practices.

Commerce is advancing the Ashram rare earth project in northern Quebec. A preliminary economic assessment was completed in 2012 suggesting a 4,000-t/d open pit operation that would produce 16,850 tonnes total rare earth oxides (TREO) a year. Earlier this month, the company completed a successful mini-pilot plant run to test leaching of the mineralization.
