AWARD: New Brunswick developer of year goes to Trevali

FREDERICTON, New Brunswick - Trevali Mining Corp. has been named 2011 Developer of the Year by the New Brunswick Prospectors and Developers Association. Trevali is advancing its Halfmile zinc-lead property in the Bathurst Mining Camp.

The underground mine is under active development with a planned production rate of 2,000 t/d. Start-up is planned before the end of 2011. The ore is to be processed at Xstrata Zinc's nearby No.12 mill.

Halfmile mine general manager John Griggs and VP operations Paul Keller accepted the award from NB Minister of Natural Resources Paul Keller.
