NUNAVUT – Peregrine Diamonds of Vancouver won the 2012 Canadian North Murray Pyke Corporate Award on April 19 at he Nunavut Mining Symposium. The award recognizes the contributions Peregrine has made to the economic and social development of the territory.

Peregrine is the 100% owner of the Chidliak diamond project 120 km northeast of Iqaluit, on Baffin Island. The company has budgeted $10 million for exploration on this property this year in preparation for taking a bulk sample in 2013. The company also operates the Cumberland and Qilaq diamond projects on Baffin Island.

Elsewhere, at Lac de Gras, NT, Peregrine has discovered three kimberlites since the beginning of the year. They are dubbed LD-1, LD-2 and LD-3. The Ekati and Diavik diamond mines are proven producers in the Lac de Gras area.
