AWARD: PTI Group recognized for aboriginal relations best practice

EDMONTON – The Alberta Chambers of Commerce have given the 2012 Aboriginal Relations Best Practice Award of Distinction to PTI Group. The annual award is presented to a non-Aboriginal business that demonstrates outstanding achievement in Aboriginal relations, including economic development, training, employment, and Aboriginal community support.

PTI is one of North America’s best know suppliers of modular workforce accommodations and catering services. It often operates in regions that neighbour Aboriginal communities. The company works hard to train and hire from local villages. It operates a camp cook program to provide hands-on culinary training for Aboriginal youth. PTI has also formed several successful joint ventures and alliances with Aboriginal communities across Canada as well as in Alberta.
