QUEBEC CITY - Osisko Mining of Montreal leads the list of winners recognized by the Quebec Minerals Exploration Association (AEMQ) at the Quebec Exploration Convention, Nov. 12-24, 2011. The Canadian Malartic gold mine belonging to the company was named Development of the Year.

The Hector-Authier Award for contributions to the development in mining entrepreneurship in the province went to Andre Gaumond, president and CEO of Virginia Mines.

The IamGold Service Organization of the Year went to Remy Belanger and his enterprise for development of mineral exploration in Quebec and elsewhere.

Arianne Resources was given the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for its Lac a Paul project that was responsible for significant growth of the company.

Real Daignault is the recipient of the Jean-Descarreaux Award for his research and publications that have contributed to increased mineral exploration activities by expanding geoscientific knowledge.

The E3 Plus Award for a company that places high emphasis on environmental and social responsibility went to Cartier Resources of Val d'Or, QC.

Azimut Exploration of Longueuil, QC, was named Prospector of the Year for its work on 25 properties in the province.
