NEWFOUNDLAND If every deposit assayed like the Boomerang massive sulphide in the central part of Newfoundland, the province would be awash in profitable mines. MESSINA MINERALS of Vancouver reported assays of 29% combined base metals plus 445 g/t Ag and 5.7 g/t Au over 2.95 metres. The assay was returned from hole GA05-60 on the Tulks South property. Previously, the best hole was 12.4% base metals with 180 g/t Au and 3.6 g/t Au over 13 metres.

Boomerang high-grade base metal mineralization has now been intersected over a strike length of 250 metres between sections 3100E to 3350E. The zone remains open to the west, remains open up-dip and down-dip on most sections, and remains open to the east for 150 metres.

Eight additional holes have been completed on sections 3250E and 3350E; another two are currently in progress on these sections. Assays from these holes are pending and will be reported when received. All drilling results, cross-sections and photos are posted at www.MessinaMinerals.com.
