NEWFOUNDLAND - MESSINA MINERALS of Vancouver has cut a new zone of massive sulphides on its Tulks South property in the central portion of the province. The new zone is located 500 metres along strike to the east of the Boomerang zone.

Drilling continues to test the Hurricane target. Two holes have intersected intervals of zinc-lead-copper-silver-gold-enriched massive sulphides on section 3925E. The upper hole cut 1.0 m assaying 25.5% Zn, 5.6% Pb and 0.6% Cu with 175 g/t silver and 1.4 g/t gold. The lower hole encountered the thickest interval of Hurricane mineralization drilled to date; it intersected 5.25 m with abundant visible sphalerite and galena plus minor chalcopyrite from 261.25 to 266.5 m. Assays for this intersection are pending.

Drill core photos of earlier holes from the Boomerang zone are posted at www.MessinaMinerals.com.
