Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but there are not many eyes that won't pop at a gold grade of 197.4 opt. That's what Golden Hope Mines of Montreal intersected at its Bellechasse-Timmins project in southeast Quebec. Hole BD2011-167 returned a section that assayed 6,140 g/t Au over 1.0 metre (uncut). The bonanza grade was one of three intersections in a 6.0-metre section of core that averaged 1,024 g/t Au.

Hole 167 was drilled to test a possible extension of the T1 zone at depth to the northeast.. The hole intersected a 40% quartz-filled breccia with coarse visible gold from 370 to 377 metres in the core at a vertical depth of 270 metres.

Golden Hope's Bellechasse property lies at the end of the Appalachian mountain range, located approximately 110 km southeast of Quebec City and about 70 km northeast of the town of Saint-Georges. The four mineralized zones of the Bellechasse-Timmins deposit contain quartz veining hosted in the earliest phase of an albite diorite intrusion having the maximum shearing the brecciation.
