TIMMINS, Ontario – Contract miner Paul Ross is giving back the best way he knows how. He has pledged to raise $25,000 for Toronto's Sick Children's Hospital, where his year-old daughter was treated 22 years ago, by selling Canadian Miner™ t-shirts.
The t-shirts are exceedingly handsome – black with a truck and dozer on the front and on the back the Canadian maple leaf and the words "We're Dig'n Up Support for Sick Kids Hospital."
Nor are the t-shirts the only option Ross is offering. There are also hoodies, and he will soon have the truck-and-dozer design on a hat. Next up with be Canadian Miners shirt with a design depicting underground mining.
Ross has made plans to sell Canadian Miners shirts at the Timmins Mining Expo next March and the Canadian Mining and Industrial Expo in Sudbury next April. He will include a mining company's or supplier's name/logo on any item, making it a great employee appreciation, safety award or team building incentive.
The apparel may be purchased through the ZeeBestTshirts.ca website and also at Albert's Sports & Work Wear in Timmins. Retail opportunities are available.
