ALBERTA – Altitude Resources of Calgary has released a maiden resource estimate – 62.1 million indicated tonnes and 84.7 million inferred tonnes – for the coking coal property belonging to Elan Coal, a private non-arms length company. The coal is ranked as low to mid volatile.

To make the estimate, Altitude examined historic data from 82 rotary holes, core from 127 diamond drill holes, 19 adits, 21 coal bed methane wells, plus trenching in the tenements. The Elan property, near Hinton, was previously explored from 1949 to 2002.

Altitude has entered into an exploration and option agreement with Elan allowing Altitude to acquire an option to earn up to a 51% working interest in Elan's coal leases.

Maps are available at AltitudeResources.ca in the Sept. 11, 2013 press release.
