BRITISH COLUMBIA - Vancouver-based NEMI NORTHERN ENERGY & MINING has commissioned the wash plant at its Trend small mine near Tumbler Ridge. Now that it is producing clean coal and shipping it to customers, the company becomes the first new northeastern B.C. metallurgical miner since the closure of the Bullmoose mine in 2003. Construction was completed in less than a year. Mine production began the last week of December 2005.

NEMI owns 100% of the Trend project. Additional information is posted at www.NEMI-energy.com.
