BRITISH COLUMBIA - WESTERN CANADIAN COAL of Vancouver has announced that its Dillon mine is officially in production. The first 102-car train was loaded and left Tumbler Ridge on Dec. 6, 2004.

The Dillon mine is part of the Burnt River project, which will be mined at a rate of 240,000 tonnes/year. The coal is suitable for PCI (pulverized coal injection) because of the low sulphur and ash content and its low volatility. Additional details are available at www.WesternCoal.com.
