TURKEY - Anatolia Minerals Development reports construction of the new Çöpler village has started. Mobilization started several weeks ago, and earthworks and concrete work are now underway. Plans include 33 private residences; several community buildings such as a school, mosque and recreation center; and other infrastructure including roads, power distribution, potable water supply and waste water treatment.

Edward Dowling, president and CEO of Anatolia commented, "Completing the Çöpler village is among our highest priorities. The collaborative efforts of many individuals produced the comprehensive resettlement action plan that we are now implementing, and we appreciate the constructive engagement and support of the many stakeholders."

Construction at the Çöpler gold mine is continuing, with first gold pour expected during the Q4 2010. The project boasts total reserves and resources of 125 million tonnes at 1.50 g/t Au and 4.03 g/t Ag or more than 6 million oz of gold and 16 million oz of silver.
