BRITISH COLUMBIA - The Asia Pacific Forum on Mining and Minerals, hosted by the MINING ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH COLUMBIA (MABC), will be held in Vancouver from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 2007.

This is the inaugural four-day forum and will provide an opportunity for learning, networking and information-sharing among industry, government, investment community, non-governmental organizations and other business leaders from around the world.

The Asia Pacific Forum will include the following major speakers: the Rt. Hon. Jean Chrtien, former Prime Minister of Canada; the Hon. David Emerson, Minister of International Trade; Doug Horswill, Senior VP of environment and corporate affairs, Teck Cominco; Dr. Yuen Pau Woo, co-CEO Asia Pacific Foundation; Matt Jeschke, director energy and extractives, Business for Social Responsibility; and Dr. Terry OCallaghan, senior lecturer, University of South Australia.
