CONTRACT AWARD – Aker Kvaerner to engineer Poracota gold autoclave

PERU - AKER KVAERNER METALS an arm of the international engineering firm, has won the contract to design a gold autoclave for the Poracota project belonging to COMPANIA DE MINAS BUENAVENTURA. Poracota is located 20 km from Buenaventuras Oropama gold mine, 1,350 km southeast of Lima at an altitude of between 3,800 and 4,500 m.<br>

Aker Kvaerner will provide the basic engineering for a pressure oxidation facility to treat sulphide ores. The work will include the circuit design, equipment sizing, preparation of bid packages, and production to support capital and operating cost estimates for a 500 t/d unit.<br>
