NUNAVUT – Aston Bay Holdings of Vancouver reports that it has completed the summer exploration program at the Storm copper property on Somerset Island. The property has been optioned by BHP Billiton, which can earn a 75% interest. Aston Bay drilled 1,951.1 metres of core in 12 holes and collected 2,005 soil samples this summer. Drilling took place on geophysical and structural targets near the 4100N and 2750N zones as well as the Tornado and Hurricane targets. Assays from the first three holes include:
  • 16 metres grading 3.07% Cu and 12.26 g/t Ag including 8 metres of 5.45% Cu and 22.73 g/t Ag in hole 1601D;
  • 4 metres grading 1.17% Cu and 4.04 g/t Ag; and
  • 20 metres grading 0.44% Cu and 1.69 g/t Ag including 2 metres of 0.97% Cu and 3.94 g/t Ag.
Historical drilling returned grades as high as 11.84% Cu over 5.1 metres and as long as 110 metres at 2.45% Cu. Aston Bay expects the assays for the remaining core and soil samples to be available within the next six to eight weeks. Please visit www.AstonBayHoldings.com.
