QUEBEC – "Polymetallic" might be a good word to characterize the Queylus property belonging to Montreal-based Copper One. The Mines Handbook suggests it is a copper-gold-uranium property. Recent news from Copper One noted high silver grades and the presence of tungsten at the site 10 km south of Chibougamau.

Drilling last fall showed multiple disseminated copper intersections that warrant more work, says the company. One hole, QU-12-2, intersected 1.0 metre of 2,460-g/t native Au and 1.54% W within a tonalitic breccia. The hole is located in a new structure that will be further tested. The same intersection also assayed 0.43% Cu and 0.03 g/t Au.

The deal for Copper One to purchase the Queylus property from Lounor Exploration closed in August 2012. It was previously drilled in the mid-1990s, when 52.4 metres of 0.5% Cu and 0.18 g/t Au were intersected.

Details results of last fall's drilling program are available at CopperOne.com.
