BRITISH COLUMBIA - When the Copper Mountain property near Princeton reopens next year, it will do so with two Komatsu PC8000 excavators supplied by SMS Equipment.. The fleet will also include seven Komatsu 240-tonne haul trucks. The project belongs to Copper Mountain Mining (www.CuMtn.com) of Vancouver.

The PC8000 is the largest excavator available to the mining industry. Built in Dusseldorf, Germany, the first Copper Mountain PC8000 has been assembled at the mine site by a team of SMS and Komatsu technicians. The machine is equipped with a 40-m3 bucket.

All Komatsu equipment will be serviced at the mine in an exclusive five-bay facility operated by SMS Equipment.
