BRITISH COLUMBIA - The directors of Vancouver's TASEKO MINES have approved the third phase of expansion at the company's Gibraltar copper mine near Williams Lake. The $350-million project will add 30,000 t/d to the mill capacity, bringing annual production to 180 million lb of copper and 4.5 million lb of molybdenum by Q4 2010.

The expansion will reduce Gibraltar production costs, thereby extending the life of the project.

Taseko also has plans to put the Prosperity gold-copper project near Williams Lake into production. Information on both of these projects is available at www.TasekoMines.com.
