COLOMBIA – Atico Mining Corp. of Vancouver has intersected high grades during drilling at its El Roble copper-gold mine 145 km east of Medellin. The find continues to extend mineralization at Zeus.
The best result from five recent diamond drill holes was 59.8 metres assaying 5.74% Cu and 2.00 g/t Au, including 23.95 metres of 11.51% Cu and 0.65 g/t Au. The next best hole returned 50.7 metres at 0.51% Cu and 0.51 g/t Au, including 7.20 metres at 0.87% Cu and 8.45 g/t Au.
Atico says the current underground drilling program will further define the known mineralized bodies and expand the identified resource. The next underground campaign will test prospective areas along strike and down dip of the known mineralization.
