COPPER-GOLD: Commissioning of secondary crusher begins at Mount Milligan

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Thompson Creek Metals of Denver has begun commissioning the permanent secondary crushing circuit at its Mount Milligan copper-gold mine 145 km northwest of Prince George. The initial feed for the circuit is to be introduced by the end of October.

The Mount Milligan mine is a conventional truck and shovel operation with a projected life of 22 years. The deposit has proven and probable reserves of 506.4 million tonnes grading 0.196% Cu and 0.349 g/t Au containing 2.19 billion lb of copper and 5.69 oz of gold.
