CHILE -- SOUTH AMERICAN GOLD AND COPPER of Toronto has announced plans to reopen the Pimenton gold mine in the Chilean Andes. A nine-month development has been outlined.

During that time some ore will be mined as drifting and crosscutting advances. An underground drilling program will be conducted to convert an indicated resource of 200,000 tonnes of 18.79 g/t Au and 1.57% Cu to 43-101-compliant numbers. When development is complete, the mining rate will be increased to 300 t/d and then to 500 t/d over the following six months. Head grades are anticipated to be 14.44 g/t Au and 1.26% Cu.

The latest Pimenton presentation is posted at www.SAGC.com in English and Spanish.
