NEWFOUNDLAND – Rambler Metals and Mining plc has cut 13.18% Cu, 4.58 g/t Au and 31.73 g/t Ag over 5.8 metres at its Ming copper-gold mine at Baie Verte. Since a breakthrough of the main 1807 ramp system at the end of February 2013, the company has mounted a diamond drilling campaign to expand the known resources.

Production at the Ming mine began in late November 2011 from the 1806 gold zone. It was mined until May 2012 and produced roughly 15,000 oz of gold. Then the focus shifted to copper production, with the first live ore reaching the mill later the same month.

Rambler says that development in the 1807 zone is now sufficient to provide six months of stope production. Underground diamond drilling will test both the up-dip and down-dip extensions beyond the current reserve model.
