YUKON - New NI 43-101 numbers are available for the Minto copper-gold project, 240 km northwest of Whitehorse. SHERWOOD COPPER of Vancouver puts measured and indicated resources at 8.5 million tonnes grading 1.81% Cu, 0.57 g/t Au and 7.6 g/t Ag. The additional inferred resource is 580,000 tonnes at 0.98% Cu, 0.30 g/t Au and 5.0 g/t Ag.

The Main zone, which is the focus of planned mining, contains measured and indicated resources of 7.8 million tonnes at 1.90% Cu, 0.60 g/t Au and 7.9 g/t Ag plus inferred resources of 30,000 tonnes at 1.26% Cu, 0.83 g/t Au and 5.0 g/t Ag.

Low copper prices forced the previous operator of the Minto project to abandon it in the late 1990s, but not before $10 million had been spent. A feasibility study had been completed, permits obtained, construction of an open pit begun, and the mill foundations poured. The SAG and ball mills are on-site, the accommodations built, and an access road established. Sherwood now holds 100% interest in the project (www.SherwoodCopper.com).
