BRITISH COLUMBIA – Gold Fields Horsefly Exploration Corp., a subsidiary of Gold Fields Ltd., has updated the resources at the Woodjam copper-gold project 55 km east of Williams Lake. The copper content at the Southeast zone has increased by 45% to more than 1.52 billion lb. Maiden numbers were also offered for the Deerhorn and Takom zones.

The resource for the Southeast zone has expanded from 146.5 million tonnes grading 0.33% Cu to 227.5 million inferred tonnes grading 0.31% Cu, an increase of 482 million lb of contained copper. The inferred resource at the Deerhorn zone is 32.8 million averaging 0.22% Cu and 0.49 g/t Au, and at the Takom deposit 8.3 million tonnes at 0.22% Cu and 0.26 g/t Au.

Two other zones, Megabuck and Three Firs, have not yet had NI 43-101 compliant resource calculations.

Gold Fields has a 51% interest in both the Woodjam North and South properties owned by Consolidated Woodjam Copper Corp. of Vancouver. Gold Fields intends to earn a further 19% interest in both properties.
