BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Imperial Metals Corp. has recalled 44 of the 85 workers that were laid off in January 2016 at the Huckleberry copper-molybdenum mine 123 km southwest of Houston. Their focus will be on tailings dam construction. The mill will continue to process stockpiles from the property until the end of August 2016. Some additional mining may be done by the recalled workers, if scheduling permits. Either way the Huckleberry mine will be placed on care and maintenance by the third quarter unless copper prices rebound. The Huckleberry mine is operated by Huckleberry Mines Ltd., which is owned 50% by Imperial and 50% by a Japanese consortium. More information about the mine is available at www.ImperialMetals.com.
