PHILIPPINES - TVI PACIFIC of Calgary has the final approvals in hand and has fast tracked construction of its Canatuan sulphide project on the island of Mindanao. Commissioning of the concentrator is scheduled for Q3 2007. The mining of sulphide ore and recovery of separate copper and zinc concentrates will complement TVI's gold and silver production from gossan ore at the same site.

Capital costs are approximately US$23.3 million to build a 1,300-t/d mill. A project management team is in place, metallurgical tests are underway, and construction of a power line to the mine has begun. Engineering is advancing for the separate tailings dam for sulphide material. A port from which the concentrates can be shipped has been found. The engineering study of the sulphide plant is complete, and TVI has purchased three used ball mills.

TVI's exploration plans for the Canatuan project are available at www.TVIPacific.com.
