QUEBEC — Toronto-headquartered Cogitore Resources has received the first 43-101-compliant resource estimate for its 100%-owned Scott Lake project near Chibougamau. The deposit contains inferred resources of 3.6 million tonnes grading 1.1% Cu, 5.2% Zn, 0.3 g/t Au and 36.0 g/t Ag.
The deposit contains approximately 70% stringer-type and 30% massive sulphide mineralization, both of which are open at depth and other directions, according to the company. Less-expensive bulk mining methods may be suitable for the stringer-type material.
The resource report was prepared by Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates using block modeling techniques, a minimum horizontal width of 2.0 metres and a net smelter return (NSR) of $80/tonne.
