YUKON – Golden Predator Corp. of Vancouver and Tr’ondék Hwëch’in First Nation (THFN) has updated the socio-economic accord for Golden Predator’s flagship Brewery Creek gold project 55 km east of Dawson City. The new agreement will take effect on closing the company’s acquisition of a 100% interest in the project from Alexco Resource Corp. The original agreement dated from 1996.

The agreement calls for THFN support for the project, review of and input for permit application, and clear, consistent communications. The company will offer employment and economic development opportunities, fund training and scholarships for TH citizens, and provide an annual grant to a community legacy project. THFN may also acquire an equity interest in Golden Predator and participate in profit sharing from operations beyond the original mine plan.

Brewery Creek is a past producing heap leach gold mine. It produced 278,484 oz of gold from seven near surface oxide deposits from 1996 through 2002. The property hosts indicated resources of 20.4 million tonnes at 0.89 g/t Au, plus an inferred resource of 13.0 million tonnes at 0.83 g/t Au. The resource estimate is being updated.

Current photos from the Brewery Creek project are posted at GoldenPredator.com.
