TORONTO – The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business has announced its 2015 list of companies that are certified under its progressive aboriginal relations program.
The PAR program supports participating companies' efforts towards progressive improvement in aboriginal relations. Certification is given at the bronze, silver or gold level after verification by an independent third party.
Among this year's 14 certified companies are Shell Canada (PAR gold) and Syncrude Canada (PAR gold).
CAAB president and CEO JP Gladu congratulated this year's certified companies who demonstrated that they value the importance of positive relationships and partnerships with aboriginal communities and businesses.
"When aboriginal peoples see the PAR logo, they know that these companies are good business partners, great places to work, and are committed to prosperity in aboriginal communities,” he added.
