WASHINGTON, DC — Petaquilla Minerals of Vancouver has become the latest company to sign the International Cyanide Management Code (www.CyanideCode.org). The code is a voluntary industry program for companies involved in the production of gold using cyanide and those that manufacture and transport cyanide. Petaquilla is the 46th company to sign the accord.

Petaquilla is developing its 100%-owned Molejon copper-gold deposit in Panama. The project is located about 100 km west of the Panama Canal on the Caribbean Coast. The first phase of production could begin later this year.

Details of the project are available both at www.Petaquilla.com and at www.InmetMining.com.
