ONTARIO - Kelowna, BC-based Metalex Ventures says the first macro diamonds have been found in the T1 bulk sample taken in the James Bay Lowlands. The project is a joint venture with Arctic Star Diamond Corp. of Vancouver. A total of 476 tonnes from T1 and 460 tonnes from U2 were collected instead of the 300 tonnes originally planned.

The sample from reverse circulation hole K06-14 at T1 weighed 23 tonnes and contained 716 commercial size diamonds larger the 0.425 mm and smaller than 3.35 mm. Size distribution data will be available at a later date as will results from 19 other holes at the T1 kimberlite.

The U2 sample remains to be tested. It is a softer, less dense kimberlite than that at the T1 target.
