DIAMOND EXPLORATION NEWS Fipke Heads for Morocco

MOROCCO Kelowna, B.C.-based METALEX VENTURES has acquired permission to explore for diamonds, base and precious metals in southern Morocco. Metalex chairman Charles Fipke is best known for his innovative search for diamonds in the Canadian Arctic and the discovery of the Ekati deposits.

Metalex has already begun a reconnaissance program over the 13,400-km area. The company believes it is the first to conclude an exploration agreement with the Moroccan Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines, and the first to prospect for diamonds, base and precious metals in the area.
