SASKATCHEWAN - The SASKATCHEWAN RESEARCH COUNCIL (SRC) has opened a new high-security diamonds analysis facility in Saskatoon. The addition of a new lab was made necessary by industrys growing demand for SRC services. The new lab effectively doubles capacity making the SRCs labs one of the largest in the world.

A new dense media separation plant is also an important part of operations because it provides additional processing capacity. The first client scheduled to use the DMS plant is Saskatchewan-based GREAT WESTERN DIAMONDS. Photos of its Candle Lake project are posted at www.GWDC.com.

The SRC website is at www.SRC.sk.ca.
