SASKATCHEWAN – Updated resources numbers from the Star and Orion South kimberlites show a “significant increase,” says owner Shore Gold of Saskatoon. The project is located about 60 km east of Prince Albert, in the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field. Shore Gold says the indicated resource at Star has increased 38% to 28.2 million ct, and the grade is up 11% to 15 cpht (carats per hundred tonnes). The Orion South indicated resource is up 134% to 27.1 million ct, and the grade is now 14 cpht. A new technical report reflecting the new figures will be filed and the new estimate incorporated into a revised open pit mine plan. The revised feasibility study will be available next year. Meanwhile, visit ShoreGold.com for more information.
