NUNAVUT – Peregrine Diamonds of Vancouver puts the average grade of the last bulk sample batch from the CH-6 kimberlite pipe to be 2.87 ct/tonne. An 8.87 ct white-colourless octahedron was one of four diamonds over 4 ct recovered from the sample. A total of 523.5 ct of diamonds larger than 0.85 mm was recovered, including 42 diamonds 1 ct or larger and 133 diamonds over 0.50 ct in size.

Peregrine is the sole owner of the Chidliak project on Baffin Island, 120 km northeast of Iqaluit. The first diamond was discovered in 2008. Since that time, 67 kimberlites have been located on the property, seven of which have economic potential. Last year's bulk sample yielded a 1,124-ct parcel of diamonds that have been sent to Antwerp, Belgium, for an independent valuation.
