NUNAVUT – Peregrine Diamonds of Vancouver has filed an updated 43-101 report for its Chidliak and adjacent Qilaq diamond projects 120 km northeast of Iqaluit. The report supports a 15% increase of the inferred resource of the CH-6 kimberlite pipe. Drilling has outlined 3.32 million tonnes of kimberlite containing 8.57 million ct and grading 2.58 ct/tonne.

The CH-6 inferred resource was revised based on data from 1,184 metres of core drilling in five holes and 352 metres of small diameter reverse circulation drilling in 24 holes. The holes were completed last year. Drilling of additional exploration targets at CH-6 could boost the total potential to 4.38 million tonnes to a maximum depth of 380 metres.

Peregrine also has plans to drill exploration targets at the CH-7 and CH-44 kimberlites. These two structures do not yet have 43-101 compliant resources. They do have potential, said the company, that may turn out to be between 3.72 million to 6.01 million tonnes at CH-7 and 1.27 million to 3.19 million tonnes at CH-44.
