The Net News is usually handled by our field editor, Marilyn Scales, and, as she is moving house this week, she has left it in my hands. This is like a busman's holiday: instead of writing articles and news and editorial for the April issue of the magazine (which you will see in the coming weeks), I get to write and edit the news of today.

The daily newspapers and weekly magazines are full of such weighty matters war, disease, morality (or the lack of it) that I am greatly afraid of burdening you with my ill-formed opinions in this little column. Instead, I would like to make a suggestion. I suggest that any of you so moved write Marilyn a note of congratulations / sympathy, etc. on her move, and let her know what you think of the mining news that we are now providing you with every week at this web site.

With Marilyn's move, just 20 km further out of Ottawa than she already was in Kanata, she has changed her e-mail address to mscales@canadianminingjournal.com. She'd love to hear from you, although it might take her a few days to respond. Any witty comments may well end up reprinted in this location as next week's Net Nits.
