SUDBURY, Ontario - Stan Bharti, chairman and CEO of Forbes & Manhattan and other companies, has made a $10-million gift to Laurentian University's School of Engineering. Bharti's gift will be invested in an endowment to the exclusive use of the renamed Bharti School of Engineering.

The gift was the largest the 51-year-old university ever received. It was made under the "Sudbury Families" initiative, brining the total for the Next 50 Campaign to $48.6 million.

The Bharti School of Engineering now serves over 400 students studying for undergraduate degrees in mining, mechanical and chemical engineering. It also offers graduate programs at both the masters and doctoral levels.
