SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin BUCYRUS has sold two 35HR drills to the Turkish Coal Board (TKI). TKI is a government-owned corporation that operates eight collieries. The drills will be delivered to the Can Canakale and Soma mines in July. There are already 18 Bucyrus 191M shovels working at the mines.

The 35HR is a crawler-mounted top head, rotary drive blasthole drill. It is designed to be one of the most versatile small blasthole drills available today. It is compact and rugged, providing excellent mobility and years of dependable service.

The TKI 35HRs can drill holes up to 229 mm in diameter combined with a pulldown force of 22,727 kg and 9.14-metre single pass drilling. Its 12.19-metre mast has been field-proven to meet and exceed the most strenuous requirements. Counter-rotating, hydraulically-powered triple-grouser tracks provide quick response, easy handling, and optimal manoeuvrability in the tightest corners or on the steepest hills.
