ADALET-PLM is now making its high voltage mining couplers in a flesh tone rather than in grey as it previously did. The change is said to make dirt, contamination, and tracking easier anywhere light levels are low, i.e. underground or in open pits. The new couplers are made of Kerite which has the same electrical properties as the old material but is tougher. The Adalet line includes couplers for 500-A cables at voltages up to 15,000-V. All are completely enclosed with metal and are designed so that the first contact to make and the last contact to break is the ground. All Adalet couplers meet or exceed IEEE-48 requirements.
