VANCOUVER TRUE NORTH GEMS and the ROSS RIVER DENA COUNCIL, on behalf of the KASKA NATION, have signed a memorandum of understanding that confirms the Kaska support for True North's ongoing exploration in the Yukon. True North has discovered emerald-bearing formations at its Regal Ridge property in the Finlayson District, which is within the Kaska Traditional Territory.

"The Kaska are open for business," said chief Jack Caesar of the Ross River Dena Council. "The Kaska will support mining as long as we have an opportunity for meaningful participation."

The memorandum acknowledges that True North holds 100% of the Regal Ridge property. It further acknowledges that the Kaska Nation has unsurrendered aboriginal rights and titles within its traditional territory. The agreement is a framework for creating economic partnerships between the mining company and the aboriginal people. True North is committed to negotiating an impact-benefit agreement with the Kaska when a bankable feasibility study is complete for the Regal Ridge project. The Kaska have already received jobs and contracts related to exploration on True North's property.

A map of the Regal Ridge property and the results of bulk sampling are available at www.truenorthgems.com.
