QUEBEC – Montreal-based engineering and consulting firm GENIVAR has acquired LANDRE GERVAIS & ASSOCIATES (LGA), which has offices in Val d’Or and Rouyn-Noranda. Genivar now has a solid presence in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region for the mineral producers and explorationists in the area.

LGA was founded in 1995 by Landre Gervais, who has 15 years of experience in the mining industry. He becomes regional VP Abitibi-Tmiscamingue and Northern Quebec. Yves Bouchard will manage the Val-d’Or office and work closely with his current partners, Rjean Founier, Stephen Authier, and Jean Bliveau, who assumes responsibility for developing the mining centre of excellence. Sylvain Dallaire, will continue managing the Rouyn-Noranda office. All six men are becoming Genivar shareholders, and they will be directly involved in project implementation, follow-up with clients and Genivar’s commitment to local communities.

Genivar’s worldwide expertise includes not only the mineral industry but also the transportation, power, pulp and paper, educational, pharmaceutical, chemical, and petroleum sectors, to name a few. Descriptions of individual projects are posted at www.Genivar.com.
